The gradual arrival of winter formally announces that Taiwan's peak hot spring season has begun! Taiwan abounds in the gifts of nature—cold springs, hot springs, mud springs, submarine springs—it is a world-famous scenic spot for springs of every variety.

The Penghu International Fireworks Festival is held from May to July every year in Guanyinting Park and several of Penghu’s well-known outlying islands. The beautiful fireworks complement the unique bay environment and the romantic Xiying Rainbow Bridge. In addition to the dazzling fireworks, many well-known artists and local performance groups perform on stages, allowing visitors to enjoy a leisurely and romantic atmosphere.

The Taiwan International Balloon Festival has become one of Taiwan’s most anticipated summer events. In 2018, the Travel Channel named it as one of the world's top-12 hot air balloon festivals.

The Yilan International Children's Play Art Festival began in 1996. It focuses on exhibitions, performances, games, and exchanges. It is the first "children" themed event in Asia to be certified by the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF®).

The Taiwan Food Exhibition combines food culture with the cuisine of famous chefs as well as special ingredients from a variety of sources. The diversity of the event has increased with time. In addition to delicious foods, cooking competitions add excitement. Celebrity chefs from around the world come to Taiwan to compete, making it a truly international event.

Taiwan Midsummer Tourism Festival is a celebration at the time of the summer solstice. The activities center upon cooling off. It integrates special recreational events at various scenic spots and towns. Food, fashion, and tourism are all highlighted, allowing visitors to experience the charm of Taiwan's summer tourism.

The TEC Land Arts Festival combines the East Coast’s natural lifestyle with a dynamic artistic atmosphere. Artists and their teams create many interesting objects.

The "Nuit Blanche" concept began in Paris, France in 2002, and the Taipei City version has been held since 2016. Via a diversity of visual and performance arts, visitors can interact with art in a natural way as they shuttle through the urban space.

The Gaillardia Islands Penghu Cross-sea Marathon is the first of its kind using outer islands. The route never double-backs on itself, and no A to B hops are made. This route has been certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and AIMS. Special foods and creative cheerleading teams along the route allow runners to deeply experience the beauty of Penghu.

A large-scale performance event will be held at the City Hall Square in front of the Taipei City Hall. Well-known local and foreign artists and performance groups will perform. This will be paired with the famous Taipei 101 New Year countdown show, which is shared by people from around the world.
